Dave Mencarini
Dave Mencarini spent seven years coaching at some of the top high school programs in the state of Maryland before being named head coach at Quince Orchard (MD) High School in 2005. Over the past three seasons, Mencarini has taken a program that had a history of losing and rebuilt it into one of Maryland’s premier programs. From 2005-2007, Quince Orchard had a three-year record of 28 wins and seven losses, with three straight trips to the state playoffs, two regional final appearances, and back-to-back 10-win seasons in 2006 and 2007. Mencarini’s passionate and energetic style can be attributed to the influence of his father, Joe, a 38-year high school coaching veteran, who currently serves as an assistant at Quince Orchard.
