    Short Run/ Long Run & Bungee/Bar

Kris Mack is a very effective coach — I’ve watched him at work many times at the Olympic Training Center in San Diego. In this video we get the opportunity to pick his brain as to his thinking on why he does things, and doesn’t do other things. Also, it reveals how he interacts with his athletes. These things are extremely useful to me. I own a lot of dvds that I mainly collect to get new drills. I have enough dvds of drills at this point. This dvd tells me Kris Mack’s philosophy behind which drills are the most useful to him, and how to structure practices in order that all his vaulters at their various levels get what they need to improve. I expect I’ll be coming back to this dvd again and again to re-focus on what I need to do, and reflect on why something isn’t working. I learn much more from my mistakes and failures than from my successes.
