George Selleck

George A. Selleck, Ph.D., M.Div., MA, is a member of the Pac-12 Men's Basketball Hall of Honor and a counseling psychologist with more than 35 years of professional expertise. Dr. Selleck has successfully integrated his knowledge of human behavior and experience as an accomplished athlete and coach (California Interscholastic Federation Player of the Year, Stanford All-American, Stanford Athletic Hall of Fame, Pac-12 Men's Basketball Hall of Honor, two-time Los Angeles Times High School Coach of the Year) to become a national sports workshop specialist and recognized author in the field of sports education. In addition to presenting business, athletic, and personal growth seminars to hundreds of organizations (including the NBA Rookie Transition Program, the American Basketball Coaches Association, the American Football Coaches Association, Anaheim Unified School District, Hewlett-Packard, and Dow Chemical), Dr. Selleck is the founder/co-founder of three non-profit organizations—Sports for Life, Inc., Parents for Good Sports, and, most recently, Leading2Play—designed to improve the youth sports experience for young people throughout the U.S. and beyond. Dr. Selleck currently lives in Northern California with his wife, Barbara.
