Mike Empey
Mike Empey is the head football coach at Snow Junior College (UT). Previously, he served as the tight ends coach at UNLV for two seasons. Empey came to UNLV from West Texas A&M University where he served as the linebackers coach. A 1995 graduate of Brigham Young University, where he won four letters as an offensive lineman, Empey played for renowned BYU head coach, LaVell Edwards. In the process, Empey was tabbed first-team All-Western Athletic Conference in his senior year as BYU’s team captain. During his undergraduate days at BYU, he was also named a WAC Scholar-Athlete three times. Empey began his coaching career in 1994 as a graduate assistant at his alma mater—a position he held for three seasons.
