Mike Noel

Mike Noel is in his ninth season at the helm of the Clovis High School softball team. In his first eight years with the Cougars, Noel’s teams have combined for a record of 264-48-3, a winning percentage of .849. During his tenure, Noel has coached 11 All-Americans, 17 All-State selections, and 23 All-Valley picks. During his eight-year career, Noel has been named Valley Coach of the Year three times and League Coach of the Year six times. He was further honored after the 1996 and 1999 seasons by being named a head coach in the annual summer All-Star game. Noel’s teams have been ranked second (three times), third (twice), fourth, eighth, and fourteenth in the state during his eight years as head coach. Noel, an active member of the National Fastpitch Coaches Association, joined the Clovis High staff in 1992 as a math instructor and coach. In addition to his head softball coaching duties, he has coached football for five years and baseball for one year. Noel has been a featured speaker at numerous coaching clinics, including ones in Lake Tahoe, Southern California, Arizona, and San Francisco. Noel graduated from Fresno State in 1991 with a degree in business administration. While attending FSU, he played both football and baseball for the Bulldogs and earned Big West athletic and academic honors. Noel and his wife, Tiffany, have a daughter, Avery Elizabeth. They are also proud parents of their dachshund, Sadie.
