Ken Leonard

Ken Leonard is the head football coach at Sacred Heart-Griffin High School in Springfield, Illinois, a position he assumed in 1984. Leonard has been a head football coach for 27 years, during which time his teams have achieved a record of 247-57. Since going to the gun offense in 2002, SHG has had a record of 62-3 with two undefeated state championship seasons, while averaging over 24 points per game. Among the numerous honors Leonard has received in his exceptional career is being named the National High School Coach of the Year by two national high school coaches associations—the National Federation of State High School Associations and the National High School Coaches Association. Leonard is one of the most highly respected interscholastic coaches in the game.
