Neil Callaway

Neil Callaway is the new head football coach at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Previously, Callaway was the offensive coordinator and offensive line coach at the University of Georgia, a position he held from 2001 to 2006. During his tenure at UGA, he was part of a staff that led the Bulldogs to two SEC championship, three SEC Eastern Division titles, three bowl victories, and four top ten finishes in the final national polls. A 1978 graduate of Alabama, where he played five different positions under famed coach Paul “Bear” Bryant, Callaway went to Georgia after serving on the gridiron staff at his alma mater for four seasons (1997-2000). Prior to joining the Crimson Tide staff, he held coaching positions at Houston (1993-1996), Auburn (1981-1992), Wyoming (1980), and East Carolina (1978-1979).
