Brian Jones
Brian Jones is the running backs coach at the University of Missouri, a position he has held since 2001. Prior to that, he spent the previous nine seasons at the University of Toledo, also as a member of Gary Pinkel’s coaching staff. Since his arrival at Missouri, the Tigers’ running attack has become one of the best in the Big 12 Conference, due in large part to his work with the Tigers’ running backs. A 1980 graduate of the University of Connecticut, Jones has also held coaching stints on the staffs at Lafayette, Massachusetts, Villanova, PRI, Norwich, and New York Institute of Technology. Known for his ability to teach fundamentals, Jones is one of the most highly regarded assistant coaches in the game.
