Mark Gottfried

Mark Gottfried is the head men’s basketball coach at the University of Alabama, his alma mater. Prior to assuming his present position in 1998, he was an assistant to Jim Harrick at UCLA, where he helped the Bruins maintain their status as one of the elite men’s hoops programs in the country. After helping lead UCLA to a NCAA championship in 1994, Gottfried then accepted the head coaching position at Murray State (Kentucky). With the Racers, he crafted back-to-back top-10 recruiting classes and helped establish Murray State as a national power in men’s basketball.
