Albert Gasparian

Albert Gasparian is the head woman’s volleyball coach at Golden West College, a position he assumed in 1983. In his illustrious career, Gasparian has established Gold West as the premier women’s volleyball program at the community college level in the nation. In the process, he has led the Rustlers to 11 consecutive state titles and 15 championships while at the helm of GWC. His record of 484-45 (a .915 winning percentage), includes four unbeaten seasons and a 103-game winning streak from 1997 through 2001. A 1977 graduate of UCLA, Gasparian assisted the USA women’s teams at the World University Games in 1993, 1995, and 1997. He is widely respected as one of the top coaches in the history of his sport.
