Theresa Grentz

Theresa Grentz is one of the most well-respected and honored woman basketball coaches in the history of the game. Inducted into the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame in 2001, Grentz was a head coach for 33 seasons, including 12 at the University of Illinois, 19 at Rutgers University, and two at St. Joseph’s University. During her esteemed career, her teams achieved a 671-309 record and made 25 post-season appearances. A 1974 graduate of Immaculata College, where she was a three-time All-American as a member of the Macs’ women’s basketball team playing for Hall of Fame coach Cathy Rush, Grentz has received numerous national and international honors for her coaching efforts.
