Matt Eberflus

Matt Eberflus is the defensive coordinator and secondary coach at the University of Missouri. Prior to assuming his present position, Eberflus served on the staff at the University of Toledo for nine seasons, the last two of which he coached defensive backs. His secondary coaching played a huge role in helping the Rockets become one of the top defensive teams in the country in 2000. From 1994-’98, he served as the outside safeties coach on the Toledo staff. During that time, his outside safeties earned all-conference honors six times. A 1993 graduate of Toledo, where he was a four-year letter winner and a three-year starter at linebacker, Eberflus is widely respected as one of the top young coaches in the game.
