Dave Odom

Dave Odom is the head men’s basketball coach at the University of South Carolina, a position he assumed in 2001. In his relatively brief tenure at the helm of the Gamecocks’ program, he has guided South Carolina to four post-season playoff appearances, including two NIT championships. Before his arrival in Columbia, S.C., Odom served as the head coach at Wake Forest. Odom led the Deacons to 11 consecutive national post-season tournament appearances and built that program into a national contender, while averaging 20 victories per year. A graduate of Guilford College where he lettered in both football and basketball, Odom has been honored numerous times for his coaching accomplishments, including being named ACC Coach of the Year three times, SEC Coach of the Year once, and National Coach of the Year once.
