Bonnie Henrickson
Bonnie Henrickson is the head women’s basketball coach at the University of Kansas, a position she assumed in 2004. Since taking the reins of the Jayhawks, she has helped build the program into national prominence. Prior to her arrival in Lawrence, she served as the head women’s basketball coach at Virginia Tech University for seven seasons. A 1986 graduate of St. Cloud State University, where she helped SCSU win three conference championships and advance to three NCAA Division II quarterfinals, Henrickson began her coaching career as a student assistant at her alma mater for one year, before serving as a graduate assistant coach for a season at Western Illinois. She then spent seven seasons as an assistant at Virginia Tech (1988-1995) and two years as an assistant at Iowa (1995-1997).
