Joe Callero

Joe Callero is the head men’s basketball coach at Seattle University, a position he assumed in 2001. During his tenure with the Redhawks, Callero has rebuilt the program to a place of national prominence. A 1986 graduate of Central Washington University, where he helped guide the Wildcats to two NAIA national post-season tournament appearances, Callero has had an extensive coaching background. Prior to his present position, he served as the head coach at Puget Sound for two seasons. Callero has also held head coaching positions at Highline Community College and Sumner (WA) High School, as well as spending a year as an assistant under renowned coach Henry Bibby at USC. At Highline, Callero compiled a career record of 130-49 over the course of two three-year stints, including a combined record of 63-2 and back-to-back NWAACC championships in 1997 and 1998.
