Wendell Kim

strong>Wendell Kim is the third base coach for the Boston Red Sox. Before joining the Red Sox organization in November 1996, he served five years in a similar capacity with the San Francisco Giants. From 1989-1991, he served as the Giants' first base coach. After playing in the San Francisco organization for eight years, Kim went on to manage at all levels in the minor leagues before joining the Giants in 1989. He has experience in coordinating the defense and infield, baserunning, and sliding instruction. Kim is in demand as a speaker and works at many baseball clinics throughout the year. He is especially interested in helping younger players with their skills as well as with their motivation. In the off-season, Kim lives with his wife, Natasha, and their son, Donald, in Mesa, Arizona.
