Ben Cook

Ben Cook, CSCS, NSCA-CPT, is the manager of exercise programming for the Carolina Sports Performance Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, a position he assumed in 2001. In his present position, he designs and implements developmental training programs for athletes, primarily in the area of speed and agility. From 1990-2001, Cook served as the head strength coach for the University of North Carolina men’s basketball program, whose teams made four Final Four appearances during his tenure with the Tar Heels. He also served as an assistant strength and conditioning coach for the Tar Heel football team for five seasons (1990-'94), during which time he helped 27 UNC players reach the NFL. A 1987 graduate of Pfeiffer College, Cook has authored several books and has been featured on several well-received instructional DVDs/videos.
