James H. Conn

James H. Conn is a professor in the department of health and human performance at Central Missouri State University. Conn has 34 years experience in teaching and coaching, and 10 years experience as a department chair in higher education. He currently teaches courses in legal issues, risk management, sport facility management, sport marketing, and motor learning. In 2002, the Missouri AAHPERD selected him as their “Scholar of the Year.” Conn has published two books, written three book chapters, and published numerous articles in the JLASPE, JOHPERD, Strategies, and the Physical Educators. He is a frequent presenter at state, regional, national, and international organizations. Conn has consulted on numerous court proceedings. He has a B.A. from the University of Northern Colorado, an M.S. from Eastern Washington University, and a Ph.D. from Southern Illinois University.
