Willie Banks

Willie Banks is currently serving his second term as president of the U.S. Olympians Association. One of the greatest American athletes in track and field history, Willie was a member of three (1980, 1984, and 1988) U.S. Olympic teams. In 1985, he set a world record in the triple jump, a record he held for over a decade. That same year, he was named the Athlete of the Year by the Track & Field News and the United States Olympic Committee. In 1999, he was inducted into the USA National Track & Field Hall of Fame. Holder of a Juris Doctor degree from UCLA, Willie works at the present time with track and field athletes and coaches at all competitive levels.
